Project highlights

• Janotthan Special SGSY Project inaugurated by Hon. RDPR Minister Mr. C. M. Udasi on 27th June 2007.
• Cattle breeding centre was started in Belavantra village on 15th Nov 2007.
• 35 Pukka Kothis (permanent grain storage rooms) and 35 storage bins were provided to the project participants under Save grain campaign from Food and Civil Distribution Department, Bangalore, Government of India.
• An animal health camp was conducted at Dyavanakonda village in association with Animal Husbandry department, Kalaghatagi.
• First federation body meeting was conducted at Gramachetana Training centre and 8 meetings were conducted and the board of Directors have been selected.
• A Training was conducted for young farmers on Sustainable Agriculture in association with Vimochana Samsthe and World Youth Centre, New Delhi.
• • The project participants have got a chance to interact with Cherkadi Ramachandra Rao who is honored with Krishi Pandita Award.
